We recycled over 100 Tons of electronic waste in 2014.

In 2014, at least 3085 computers were refurbished and donated to 39 Arizona Schools and 36 non-profit organizations.

Our Techie Camp program teaches middle school students how a computer works and the impact of software on the operations. Students disassemble a working computer, and reassemble the computer while learning what each part does and how it interacts with the other components. Then they load software and learn how it controls the computers. By participating in the one day program, students acquired valuable, marketable STEM (science, Technology, Engineering and Math) skills, while also acquiring workplace skills, including teamwork, accountability, and communication skills. The program included 12 camps serving 179 students in 2014.

Our clubs and school refurbishing partners included over 700 students in nineteen high schools and three community colleges to learn hands-on about computer technology and how to repair and refurbish used computers.

We awarded A+ Certification Scholarships to 28 StRUT students in 2014.

AZ StRUT supports a community commitment to reaching a greener future. We recycled over 100 Tons of electronic waste in 2014.
