Choose a Techie Experience
Schedule one of our engaging educational experiences for your group. Each experience introduces students to technology in a fun, practical, and memorable way.
Hardware Techie Experience
Recommended group size: 10–16 participants
This experience introduces students to computer hardware technology. Participants identify computer components and peripheral devices, learn related maintenance and security procedures, and gain a better understanding of how computers work.
Students are also introduced to AZ StRUT’s mission, and many groups include a device students can take home at the end of the experience.
Networking Techie Experience
Recommended group size: 10–16 participants
This course introduces students to computer networking, how networks operate, and the equipment and protocols used to connect devices.
Students set up ad-hoc networks, create their own Ethernet cables, and learn how networking supports communication and technology systems. Participants get to keep the cables they create.
Cyber Safety Experience
Recommended group size: 10–20 participants
This experience introduces students to safe and responsible participation in an online world. Topics include secure passwords, spam and malware awareness, and protecting personal information online.
Some experience packages may also include students taking home a Chromebook.
