A collection event is a one-day drop-off where your neighbors, students, or employees can finally clear out the old and unwanted electronics piling up in closets, garages, and storage rooms — and feel good about where it ends up. AZ StRUT (Arizona Students Recycling Used Technology) partners with HOAs, schools, businesses, faith communities, and civic groups to host these events across the Valley. Working devices are refurbished and given to Arizona students and families who need them; everything else is recycled responsibly.

Almost any organized group can host — HOAs, schools & PTOs, employers, faith communities, rotary and service clubs, or a neighborhood. If you have a parking lot and a couple of weekend hours, you’re ready.

How it works

STEP 1

Tell us

Fill out the form below with your group, a preferred date and time, and a location.

STEP 2

We plan it

We confirm the details and send you a custom flyer to promote it to your community.

STEP 3

Host the day

Your community drops off electronics while our crew handles all the sorting and loading.

STEP 4

We finish it

We refurbish what we can for students in need and recycle the rest securely.

What's accepted

Laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, tablets, A/V gear, cables, cameras, printers, copiers, DVD players, and most consumer electronics. See our Donate Equipment list.

Your data stays safe

Every storage device is wiped to Department of Defense standards or physically destroyed, so your community can recycle old computers and phones with total peace of mind. Read our data security policy.

A note on tube TVs

Old CRT (tube) and rear-projection TVs are costly to recycle safely, so a $1-per-pound fee applies to them. You choose whether to accept them at your event.
