Hardware Techie Experience –  (must have 10-16 participants.)

The objective of this course is to introduce the student to computer hardware technology.  The student will be able to identify many types of computer components and peripheral devices.  Upon completion of this course the student will understand computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and related maintenance and security procedures.  Students will also be introduced to AZ StRUT’s mission. Most experiences include giving a device to the student at the end of the camp.

Networking Techie Experience – (must have 10-16 participants.)

The objective of this course is to introduce the student to computer networking.  The student will learn how networks operate, the equipment and protocols in use. Students will set up ad-hoc networks and create their own ethernet cables. Students will also be introduced to AZ StRUT’s mission. The students will get to keep the network cables they create.

Cyber Safety Experience – (must have 10-16 participants.)

The objective of this course is to introduce students to concepts and principals of safety in an online world.  The student will be given information on how to set secure passwords, identify spam and malware, and how to protect their online identity. Some experience packages may include the students taking home a Chromebook.
